The Droga Kolinska Group operations in the period of January – September 2009
The Droga Kolinska Group has reached EUR 242.7 million of net revenues in the first nine months of this year. This data is not comparable to the turnover of the same period of last year due to disposals of non-strategic programmes.
In the same period, the Group reached an operating profit (EBIT) of EUR 15 million, which is comparable to EBIT, generated in the same period of 2008, despite the disposal of non-strategic programmes. If we eliminated the impact of one-off events on the Group’s operating result, EBIT would amount to 18.4 million euro, resulting in a 7.5% EBIT margin, which means a 1.5% point higher margin than in the comparable period of last year.
By the end of the third quarter of 2009, the Droga Kolinska Group almost halved the loss from the first half of the year to 3.3 million euro. The loss was primarily due to a onetime write-off of assets during the sale of non-strategic programmes and the depreciation of the Serbian dinar.
During the year, which has proved very demanding for companies from a liquidity point of view, the Droga Kolinska Group managed to reduce its net debt from 190.2 million euro to 155.1 million euro, which is the result of good business and the improved risk management of this year.
